Since 1967, Paul Crampton Contractors, Inc. has been building a legacy of quality craftsmanship, value, and exceptional customer service throughout Washington County. Founded by Paul Crampton, Sr. as a small home improvement company, the business was built on a simple philosophy: exceed customer expectations on every project, no matter the size. From the very beginning, Paul remained personally involved in every phase of each project before, during, and after the sale, establishing a reputation for integrity and customer satisfaction that continues today.

As the company grew, so did its capabilities—expanding into new home construction and managing every stage of development, from land acquisition and site work to finished homes and communities. Over the years, Paul Crampton Contractors has become known for creating some of Washington County’s most respected residential communities.

In 1978, Paul Crampton, Jr. joined the family business full-time. Together, father and son developed Towne Oak Village, introducing innovative two-story townhomes with attached garages. Responding to homeowner demand, they later designed one-story townhomes with attached garages—the first of their kind in Washington County. These thoughtfully designed homes helped pioneer the area’s active adult lifestyle community concept and became especially popular among retirees, empty nesters, and homeowners seeking low-maintenance living.

This vision continued with the development of South Pointe in Hagerstown, further establishing the company’s reputation for building attractive, comfortable communities designed around the needs of homeowners.

In 2007, a third generation joined the company as Paul Crampton III came on board to help lead the development of Emerald Pointe. Today, he continues the family tradition through sales, design, and construction while carrying forward the company’s longstanding commitment to quality construction and outstanding customer care.
